We’re almost a year on since the removal of all three seasons of The Fall on Netflix US, and fans are asking if it will be returning anytime soon. Sadly, The Fall won’t be returning to Netflix for a significant amount of time. We’ll explain why below, and where you can stream seasons one through three of The Fall on Netflix elsewhere.
The Fall, a British-Irish crime drama created by Allan Cubitt and previously a Netflix Original. It was one of the originals licensed internationally and enjoyed great popularity among US viewers.
In Belfast, Northern Ireland. Stella Gibson, Metropolitan Police Superintendent (Gillian Anderson), is dispatched to evaluate the state of the murder investigation. Stella has to work closely with the Belfast Police if she wants to catch Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan), a serial killer who targets young professionals women in Northern Ireland's capital.
Many subscribers were surprised to learn that all three seasons, including The Fall, left Netflix US on October 29, 2019. Subscribers were naturally confused about why The Fall had left Netflix, despite it being an Original. The reason is that the original series license was only for streaming and it has now expired.
Sadly, The Fall has yet to return to Netflix US, and it won’t be coming any time soon thanks to its new home on Britbox US.
Britbox US received all three seasons on July 28, 2020.
The Fall must leave Britbox in order to be available on Netflix US. It’s unclear how many years Britbox holds the license for The Fall, but for of least the foreseeable future the series won’t be available to stream on Netflix US.
The Fall can be streamed on Netflix only in eleven regions at the moment of this writing

Netflix UK received The Fall only at the start of August.
